Have you ever needed to check someones heart rate or cardiac event readings, probably not if your not a doctor or nurse, but now, there is even an application for that.
Lifetone have developed an iPhone application that can now provide clinical-quality cardiac event readings using a slim, low-power sleeve with two electrodes fitted on its back and its accompanying iPhone app. Watch the video after the jump to see the app and sleeve in action.
To get a reading you can either hold the iPhone and Sleve or place it on your chest or the patients to start monitoring their pulse. The iPhonECG will be officially demoed and showcased at CES next week.
